The lost art of printed material. Nothing beats the feeling of picking up your favorite magazine at your local newsstand (these are not available at your local newsstand). I picked these up on a recent trip to Los Angeles and checked out a few shops.
The first publication is by Stussy. This magazine/zine/lookbook is set for a biannual release. The magazine measures 11x17 with full bleed print on a medium weight paper. Their first issue features A$AP ILLZ by Kenneth Cappello on the cover, a few tribe stories and a preview of their Spring/Summer 13 clothing collection. Available at all Stussy stores for five dollars.
The second pick up is by Vans. I picked this up at my local Vans store and it is free to take (YES!). This lookbook features the spring/summer 13 collection (both shoes and clothes featured.) I always like to pick these up because they feature cool layouts, colors, and photos for my inspiration.
Last of the three is a zine by Vans Syndicate. This particular zine is only available at Vans Syndicate dealers and usually features new and up coming releases. This is the second issue for the zine and it features stories like how to build a jail house tattoo gun, an interview with Ice-t and other random stories. I like to pick these up because I am a huge supporter of the Syndicate line and I like to read the interviews from people they have collaborated with. These are free and I picked this issue up at UNIV in Encinitas (AWESOME SHOP) check them out.
